GROUND FLOOR:

The front door opens onto a dining room and kitchen with oven, gas hob, fridge, washing machine, coffee machine, juicer and other essentials. A traditional bay window in the dining area opens onto the street and makes the perfect viewing spot to watch village life go by.

In the middle of the ground floor is a modern bathroom equipped with a solid stone basin, loo and glass-mosaic walk in shower.

There is an additional separate WC and basin in another room and a terracotta tiled staircase to the first floor.

At the back of the ground floor is a small living area which in which to escape the summer heat or snuggle by the wood burner in winter.

From this room steps lead up to the courtyard and plunge pool.

FIRST FLOOR:

Steps lead up to an eccentric Moroccan inspired internal living room with high ceilings and minute windows to keep out the summer heat. This room contains a sofa area and an ever-growing selection of DVDs and books.

The two main bedrooms (both with good double beds) are accessed from opposite ends of the Moroccan room. Both bedrooms are private but contain old architectural openings to allow the passage of cool air in the summer.

The front bedroom has three windows and space for a single fold-out bed (perfect for one child). The back bedroom has two windows and a glazed door with another access to the courtyard.

The courtyard is enclosed by tall white walls and sails may be hung over the area to create shade if needed.

The back of the courtyard contains a new mosaic glass plunge-pool with integral seating (max depth 90cm) – perfect for cooling off with a cocktail and/or entertaining the children.

The courtyard also contains a dining table with seating for six adults.

This terrace is lightly shaded, South facing, and contains various versatile seating… the perfect place for pre-dinner drinks or an early morning coffee.

ROOF TERRACE:

Another roof terrace, accessed via an external metal stairs from the room below, is the final surprise.

This teerace was disguised in the traditional roof-line to make the most of the famous Gaucin views and soak up the hot Spanish sun.

On a summer’s night it is also the perfect place to lie under the heavens, watching for shooting stars and listening to the goat bells in the mountains after the rest of the world has gone to sleep.
